About me


Dr Stephanie Azri (PhD) is a Clinical Social Worker with a Dip Ed, BHumSer, BSocWok, MHst and a Cert IV TAA.

My interests are: Women’s health issues, Youth and family,  Couples and relationships, Sexual health, Grief and loss and Mental health



Stephanie has undertaken her PhD in social work exploring the impact of psychosocial support on women’s wellbeing after a prenatal diagnosis. She is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), a member of the Perinatal Society of Australia and New Zealand and a member of the Society of Australian Sexologists.

She is the published author of “High Risk Pregnancy and Foetal Diagnosis; your journey” by FAB (2006), “Healthy Mindsets for Super Kids” by JKP (2013), “The Prenatal Bombshell” by Rowman and Littlefield (2015) co- written with Sherokee Ilse, “The REAL guide to life as a couple” by Praeclarus Press, US (2018) and of State of Innocence, co-written with Debra Scacciaferro as well as the Monthly Parenting contributor for the City South Bulletin. She is in the process of writing two books on relationships.


She runs a support group (PDS AUSTRALIA) for families who have or are expecting babies with a poor or long term prognosis. The support group offers email support, access to resources and information, others’ stories and journals as well as a discussion board and chat room. Stephanie regularly presents at conferences, writes for various magazines or websites and provide clinical services to her community. Accredited under Medicare and ATAPS, She runs multiple parenting, resilience and counselling groups and clinics throughout Brisbane South.
